Pathways is hiring an Implementation Specialist.

Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Specialist in supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will play a crucial role assisting others in developing programs and implementing creative and innovative solutions to the customer’s problems. Your knowledge of training, facilitation, and healthcare will assist project managers and/or task managers. You will be relied upon to document and summarize results as well as develop and recommend creative and innovative solutions to the customer’s problems.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead implementation efforts across healthcare facilities to ensure successful onboarding and adoption
  • Conduct facility-based training sessions (virtual and in-person) for frontline providers and staff
  • Facilitate and lead recurring virtual office hours to support end users
  • Track and monitor training attendance and engagement metrics
  • Assist in updating and refining training materials, job aids, and implementation documentation
  • Address clinical questions and concerns from frontline providers in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor user feedback and communicate themes, challenges, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure alignment with clinical documentation requirements, medical decision-making standards, and quality measures
  • Present implementation updates and outcomes to leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deliverables
  • Apply implementation science frameworks to support sustainable adoption
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare, Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred)
  • Clinical background preferred but not required
  • 2–5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical support, training, or implementation roles
  • Experience working within complex healthcare organizations
  • Experience delivering virtual and/or in-person training
 
Skills
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation requirements and EHR workflows
  • Knowledge of medical decision-making processes and quality standards
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and medical-legal documentation requirements
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams for virtual training and collaboration
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong active listening skills and empathy for clinician challenges
  • Comfortable presenting to groups, including clinical leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams

Preferences:
  • Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcareorganizations.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies.
  • Experience working projects and on participating in cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in ever-changing work environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Travel: (if applicable)—percentage of travel time expected for the position, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight.

Compensation:

Salary range is $65,000.00 to $100,000.00
